Artbooking display board

Artbooking is the 3rd Cricut Cartridge that Close to my Heart has developed. It is a wonderful cartridge for those who love to scrap book and love mini albums! I have created a display board to demonstrate a few features of this cartridges capabilities.
This center section shows all the images that can be cut from just one page in the accompanying book. These are just 2 of the wonderfully themed scrapbook pages.
One of the function keys is labeled Icons. These are just a few of the images that can be cut using this function key.
There is a Title function key that can cut all of these wonderful welded titles and more.
Here are a few borders from the Border function key.
As with the first 2 cartridges, the Artbooking bundle comes with 3 wonderful stamp sets that coordinate with shapes cut on this cartridge. Use them to stamp directly on your project, tone on tone or back with a mat.
Even my title banner shows off one of the mini album pages and the alphabet that comes with this cartridge.
I also have been cutting all of the overlays at full size and will have a scrapbook full of them to show them off.

Holidays From the Heart Blog Hop

The Holidays From the Heart Gift Guide is fun of wonderful new products and beautiful artwork. I used the Sparkle and Shine paper pack and the ever so cute Santa Claus (C1567) stamp set to create this card.

I embossed the Merry Christmas word stamp with VersaMark ink and Clear Embossing powder onto a perfectly cut shape from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge out of the candy cane striped Sparkle and Shine paper.

After heat setting, I used a rubber brayer to cover the piece with Ruby ink.

Wipe away the the ink that beads up the on top of the embossed area leaving the words and a small border to absorb the ink.  I added Red Glitz Glitter Gel to Santa's hat and let that dry. I then added Liquid Applique to the hat border and ball.  Heat the Liquid Applique and watch it puff up.

Here is another example of the Emboss Resist technique, again stamped on B&T paper, using the beautful stamp from In the Moment stamp set.

Hop on over to my web site to see all of the beautiful new items.

Artbooking Cricut Halloween Mini-Album

Love this mini-album that you can cut out with the new Artbooking Cricut cartridge from Close to my Heart. I used Kraft cardstock, Autumn Terracotta cardstock and an entire pack of Black and Grey Glitter Paper to create this fabulous 6 inch round album for Halloween. I also added aditional bling with pins, buttons, sequin and more from the Black Mini-Medley Accents.

I used textiles from For Always and Sarita to add some fun accents on the rings.

Baby Mini-Album using Artbooking

Love, love the new Artbooking Cricut cartridge from Close to my Heart!
Here is a baby mini-album I created using a Babycakes paper pack and the canvas compliments that coordinate with the paper pack.

This is a close up of the ABC canvas compliments to show that I used baby powder on the back of the stickers to cover the adhesive and then used foam tape to give them dimesion and the page alittle pop.

New Close to my Heart Idea Book Blog Hop

I am so excited about CTMH’s new Idea Book.  Today is the first day to order all the new wonderful CTMH products available.  This Idea Book is jam packed with new beautiful paper, embellishments, home décor items, wearable craft projects, and yes, a brand new Cricut cartridge calledArtbooking.

The project I will share with you today will use the new My Reflections Paper pack called Sarita (X7171B).  This paper pack uses Outdoor Denim, Lagoon, Goldrush, Gypsy, Cotton Candy and Colonial White.  I used one of the scrapbook page layouts from the new Make it from Your Heart Vol. 2 (9042) how-to pattern books.  All of the shapes where cut using the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge (z1906). The first picture shows the page cut and layered with no stamping.  I wanted you to see the difference a little stamping and ink can make to give your layout unique character.

Now with stamping:

Here are the details of the layout. First I did a little splattering of ink using Gypsy reinker with a tooth brush and Lagoon reinker with a stipple brush.

I did a little stamping using One-Way Boarders (C1561).

Stitching from Stitch Wonder (C1564).

Here is a close up of the embellishment cluster. I cut a title, an elegant shape and a spiral flower. I added a metal flower shape with the work live on it from Base andBling Word Accents (X1882), a Teal acrylic flower from Base and Bling TealJewels (Z1891) and sprinkled a few of the new Aqua Dots (Z1853)  They accent perfectly with the Lagoon paper.

If you don’t own the Quilling Tool (Z1795) yet, it is a must have for the spiral flowers to take shape.  I also use mine to help curl the petals back for a more realistic look.

I hope you will take a look inside the new Idea Book.  You can shop at LVarner.CTMH.com

Have fun hopping!
