Sunburst Technique

The Sunburst technique is colorful and fun. It uses up scraps and looks much more difficult than it is. I learned this technique from Technique Junkies.
For this example, I used a white card base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and a 3 x 5 1/4" Crème Brule (yellow) piece of card stock. I then measured from the center of the yellow rectangle to the corner so that I would know how long to cut my patterned paper. I then cut rectangles of different patterned papers 1 1/2 x 6" and cut them on the diagonal to create the wedges. I started placing the wedges form the center outward leaving a space between them. It will look like a mess at point because of the over hanging different pieces. Once all of your wedges and glued down to the yellow piece, flip it over and trim off all of the excess patterned paper even with the yellow piece. Adhere to your card base. cover the center where all the points come together with an embellishment or sentiment.

I hope this technique inspires you to create something from your heart.
