Roxy LO

I went to a couple of crops in October and November and created this LO as a make and take.  I used the Roxy Paper Pack , Instant Memories and Hooray Bouquet Stamp Sets. My colors are Smoothie, Tulip, Desert Sand and Black.  I used my absolutly awesome new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut all of my flowers!  I have 2 different right hand pages.  Either one complements the single focal photo on the left hand page.  The small title is stamp in Tulip first generation and says Picture Perfect.  The splat image is stamped second generation with Tulip ink.  I have added dimention to the flowers by curling the petals up or down and adding Foam Tape to the some of them.  The centers of the flowers, you can find all of them in our Black Mini-Medley Accents Pack.

October Sell-A-Bration Craft Fair LO kits

Hey Everyone,
I was hoping to post every week.  Well, I geuss that is not going to happen. But, when I post, I post a lot.  Here is what I have been up to in the month of October.  I had a booth in a craft fair and made a bunch of LO created with lots of different Cricut cartridges.  Many images came from Everyday Pop-up Cards cartridge. These were quick pages to make and I made about 6 of each. Over all, the weekend was a bust as far as sales.  Nobody was buying.  I have another small Holiday sale in December.  I hope to have better luck selling items there.

I made both Baby Girl and Baby Boy of each baby LO.  All B&T papers are retired.

Clip board and flowers, White Wednesday LO, Typeset LO

Here is a clip board using some older CTMH papers.  I used our new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to make the flowers.

I made this fun LO with pictures from White Wednesday.  The kids went out at night to toilet paper each others houses.  I used Mischief papers.  I painted the Milepost cardboard shapes with white paint.  I used Dimensional Elements Solos to make my title and wrapped the W with tissue paper so that it would look like toilet paper.

This next LO is using Typeset paper and Vintage Type Stamp set.  I used the wonderful Typeset canvas Complements, ribbon from Wings, cork alphabets and a pin clip.

6x6 Convention Accordion Album

This is a wonderful 6x6 scrapbook we made at convention.  We used 3 of the 6x6 craft cards to create this accordion album.  We used the cork alphabets, Decor Journaling Spots and a stamp set that was a special gift for convention goers.  Hope you get some ideas.

Hope everyone is staying dry.  We are having a down pour right now from Tropical Storm Lee.  Wow.  An inch an hour for sure.  It's a good time to stay in side and blog.  These are 3x3 cards I made at convention using all new product.  Cute, aren't they. Here the are all individually and a little larger.

This is a special LO of my little pumpkins the fall we spent with my mom and step-dad after Katrina. We all worked on these costumes together. The Hershey's Kiss used to be a pumpkin costume that my grandmother Tootsie made when I was a kid. It was in bad shape, so, I took it apart and made the Kiss costume. The kids looked so SWEET! LOL I think I used all but 4 felt Mischief Complements images. A little over the top, but it is fun.

I have hidden journaling under the left side LO.

This is the right side with all the felt images.

Here is a close up of the top left corner of the 8x10 picture. Not only did I use sand paper to distress the edges of my paper layers but I also used sand paper to distress the edges of the photo. I always pull away from the edge so as not to bend the photo. I sanded in one direction at an angle and then sanded across the first direction to form an X texture on the photo. I like to get larger prints made of a few of my better photos. They are just fun to scrap when they are 5x7's or here an 8x10 photo. They are a little more expensive so I only print the really good photos at a larger size. Give it a try.

Another August SOTM standard size card. I stamped the hat twice and cut out just the hat to pop it up. I used the Mischief paper as my card base so I put an insert inside for writting on. I stamped the words "Have a Wicked Halloween" in black in right on the Mischief paper.

Here is a Cricut cut card. I set my Cricut to cut at 5 1/2 inches and it cut this standard size card perfectly. I used my least favorite color, Taffy, to do some initial cutting with my new Cricut cartridge. I cut the base image to stamp the witch, 1/4 inch larger than the opening window in the card. And matted in black cutting the same base image annother 1/4 inch larger than the piece used to stamp the witch image. I had fun wrapping a cardboard star from the Milespost cardboard shapes with black Waxy flax and tied it through a pewter button. On all of my SOTM samples, I have sponged (distressed) with black ink. I distress everything!

I just love the August Stamp Of The Month called Wicked S1108. Here are several cards I have created using the set. The first is a 3x3 card using Mischief papers and the cat. I have added the spider to the cat's tail by inking only the spider from the hat image, using a black marker.

Stamp and Ink News

I wanted to give you the heads up about changing prices for some of the items in the new Idea Book.  There is good news and there is bad news.  The good or should I say GREAT news is that all stamp set prices are going down!  Stamp sets that begin with the letter A will now be only $6.95, letter B stamp sets are only $9.95, letter C stamp sets are only $13.95, letter D stamp sets are only $17.95 and letter E stamp sets are just $29.95.  This is great news for you and for me.  Now I can get more stamps for my money.
The bad news is that the price of colored card stock is going up.  All colored cardstock packs of 24 sheets will now be $14.95, excluding White Daisy and Colonial White which will be $9.50.  Packaging and availability is changing, too.  Out of our 60 color pallet, there will be only 15 colors available in 24 packs (colors listed below).  Cardstock combo packs will be available for all color seasons containing 2 each of 12 colors.  Cardstock Shade Packs are being introduced containing 4 sheets each of 3 colors in shades of pinks, or blues, ect.
No colors are retiring but many colors were shuffled around so you will see them in a different season than where they were before.  There are no ink pad sets or markers sets for sale at a discount.  Only individual markers or ink pads.
To try to save a little money, I will be placing an order for myself to stock up on 24 packs of certain colors of cardstock before the end of July.  If you have a color of cardstock you use all the time, you might want to take advantage of the lower price while you can.  If there are sets of ink pads or markers that you want, you might consider ordering them now.  Let me know if you would like me to place an order for you.  I will be placing my order by Sunday, July 31 at 8pm.  Or you can place your own order on my website and have your purchase shipped directly to you.  There are several items on the ‘While Supplies Last’ list that are heavily discounted including Crochet Flowers and Pretty Pins as well as My Stickease and other paper packs.  Take advantage of these great discounts.
I hope this helps you save a little money along the way.  Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have.  Happy scrampbooking!

Pics from Convention at Disney.

Here is the layout that is on the front cover of the new autumn/winter 2011 Idea Book. There was a pool and slide at the hotel. Beautiful at night. My Micky cookie.

Sneak peek at new Cricut cartridge!

Back from Convention...

...and ready to start playing with all of the new product.  I had a great time at conventionl.  I have not been to a convention in 4 years.  It is so much fun!  It was held at Disney in Anaheim, Cal. I roomed with 3 lovely ladies from N.C. with the most wonderful accents.  My room mate Denise Black taught a class for Extravaganza and won 2nd place in the Scrapbook Album contest.  She won $750.00 in new product!  I was so happy for her!  It was a privilege to celebrate her win with her.  She also found a Sticky Boy stamp for me. Yay!
So, on to new product news.  There are 8 beautiful newly revamped My Reflections Level 2 paper packs.  The B&T patterns are gorgeous.  They are double sided and now in card stock thickness!  That is because it is much easier to use with the new exclusive CTMH Cricut cartridge!
Yes, CTMH has designed an incredible collection of shapes, cards, flowers and an alphabet, all on one cartridge! Over 700 images!  It comes as a package deal with three D size stamp sets and three sheets of dimentional elements that all coordinate to the images this cartridge can cut out! Many images on the new stamp sets are compatible with images that can be cut out with the cricut and are identified with a red outline around it.
Workshop On The Go Kits now contain 2 accessories and a C size stamp set.  That is because our revamped Level 2 paper packs are smaller in the number of sheets of paper.  This means smaller in price as well.  Speaking of lower prices ...... the price of all stamp sets have been lowered!  Now a stamp set that starts with the letter A will only cost $6.95, B sets are $9.95, C sets are $13.95, and D sets are just $17.95!
There is so much more inside the pages of the new idea book.
