New Close to my Heart Idea Book Blog Hop

I am so excited about CTMH’s new Idea Book.  Today is the first day to order all the new wonderful CTMH products available.  This Idea Book is jam packed with new beautiful paper, embellishments, home décor items, wearable craft projects, and yes, a brand new Cricut cartridge calledArtbooking. 

The project I will share with you today will use the new My Reflections Paper pack called Sarita (X7171B).  This paper pack uses Outdoor Denim, Lagoon, Goldrush, Gypsy, Cotton Candy and Colonial White.  I used one of the scrapbook page layouts from the new Make it from Your Heart Vol. 2 (9042) how-to pattern books.  All of the shapes where cut using the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge (z1906). The first picture shows the page cut and layered with no stamping.  I wanted you to see the difference a little stamping and ink can make to give your layout unique character.

Now with stamping:

Here are the details of the layout. First I did a little splattering of ink using Gypsy reinker with a tooth brush and Lagoon reinker with a stipple brush.

I did a little stamping using One-Way Boarders (C1561).

Pennants from All the Details (D1555).

Stitching from Stitch Wonder (C1564).

Here is a close up of the embellishment cluster. I cut a title, an elegant shape and a spiral flower. I added a metal flower shape with the work live on it from Base andBling Word Accents (X1882), a Teal acrylic flower from Base and Bling TealJewels (Z1891) and sprinkled a few of the new Aqua Dots (Z1853)  They accent perfectly with the Lagoon paper.

If you don’t own the Quilling Tool (Z1795) yet, it is a must have for the spiral flowers to take shape.  I also use mine to help curl the petals back for a more realistic look.

CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge display board

Here is the display board I use at events to show off the wonderful CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.  It has so much to offer.  There are many wonderful 3-D items to cut and wonderful flowers to make.

I recreated one of the pages to show just how many images you can cut from one button.  The cupcake wrapper and popcorn box are put together and 3-D so I use Velcro to attach them and take them off when I fold up the board.

These are some of my favorite images.

Love the cards and flowers! The entire flowers 12x12 piece is held on with Velcro so that the flowers will not be crushed when the board is folded.

The 3-D items are held on with Velcro. Love all the boxes that can be created!

CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge display board

Here is the tri-fold I made to show off the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge when it was first introduced 2 years ago.  I tried to get peoples attention by putting Cricut on the banner title.  I tried to show that one key would create 14 different shapes.  Different sections of the board high light different features such as the coordinating stamp sets and the decorative layer key. I have a tri-fold board for the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge as well and will share that soon.  

Over the next few posts, I would like to share some scrapbook layouts from the past. 

These pictures are of my youngest child who is 15 years old now.

 

I stamped the car in black ink and restamped several times to make the car look like it is moving as the ink seems to fade away.
